The New Jersey Federation of Democratic Women (NJFDW) is proud to announce its official endorsement of Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill in her campaign for Governor of New Jersey.
Congresswoman Sherrill has long been a champion for women, families, and working communities across the Garden State. Her record of service—as a Navy veteran, federal prosecutor, and four-term member of Congress—reflects a deep commitment to integrity, equity, and pragmatic leadership.
“Mikie Sherrill embodies the values we fight for every day,” said NJFDW co-president Rachel Green. “She leads with courage, listens with compassion, and governs with a clear-eyed focus on progress. Her candidacy represents a historic opportunity to elect a governor who understands the lived experiences of New Jersey’s women and who will prioritize policies that uplift all communities.”
The NJFDW’s endorsement follows a unanimous vote by its executive board and reflects the organization’s mission to support Democratic women leaders who advocate for inclusive, forward-thinking policies. Congresswoman Sherrill’s platform includes expanding access to reproductive healthcare, strengthening public education, protecting voting rights, and investing in sustainable infrastructure—all priorities that align with NJFDW’s core values.
As the campaign moves forward, NJFDW will mobilize its statewide network to support Congresswoman Sherrill through grassroots outreach, voter education, and community engagement.
“Mikie Sherrill’s leadership reflects the values we hold dear—integrity, resilience, and a commitment to equality. NJFDW is proud to support her historic candidacy for governor,” said NJFDW co-president Roberta G. Walters.
